1964

Pierre Richel buys out an agricultural products business near St Rémy de Provence and incorporates to this activity the sale of plastic-covered greenhouses in this business.

1972

The company launches its first range of greenhouses. His son Jean-Marc joins the business in 1971. Pierre Richel will make a major impact on the greenhouse profession thanks to his ideas and innovations

1979

Creation of the company Richel Serres de France. Christian Richel, second son of Pierre Richel, joins the company which becomes progressively the leading French and European manufacturer of plastic-covered greenhouses.

2000

Richel Serres de France is listed on the Paris Euronext small caps market on December 14.

2001

Richel Serres de France buys out 95% of the company Marchegay, French leader in garden centers, and well-known specialist in glass greenhouses.

2002

Jean-Marc Richel & Christian Richel create the holding company Financière Richel which opens its capital to 3 investors Siparex, SPEF Développement and Sud-Est Croissance.

2003

Thanks to the worldwide network of Richel Serres de France, Marchegay wins its first major export contracts in glass greenhouses and garden centers

2004

Growth in Group export sales in spite of the adverse economic situation (rising price of raw materials, falling US dollar).

2007

Public offer of stock on Alternext. Takeover of French company DIMAC. Extension of production facility at Eygalières.
